I went to Salamanca in mid-November for 3 nights with Jennis and Kara. We met up with my friend from UGA, Jane, and her roommate Rosie, who are both doing the program in Cadiz. Unfortunately, it's been over 2 months since this trip, so I'll spare you the misremembered details, but it was perhaps my favorite trip I've taken thus far. We stayed in an adorable hostel, and the town is beautiful. Plus everyone kept telling us that we would be freezing the entire time, and it really wasn't any colder than Logrono already was.
You are supposed to find a skull with a frog sitting on top in all this relief work. Then you will either make A's on your exams or getting married in a year. I found it after about 15 minutes; everyone else found it in about 5.
The famous Plaza Mayor is supposed to be one of the most beautiful in all of Spain and perhaps Europe as well.

Yay for new posts!
Hi I am planning to go Salamanca . Can you recommend a placa to stay ? cheap pls :D
I am so jealous of all your fun! And I had no idea until today that Choadtoria came to visit you. Now that I have a job (and dinero!), I will need to plan a fabulous trip to visit the wonderful Lucy! When are you returning to the states?
Also, has your Spanish improved, or have you just picked up different words since the people around you don't speak Spanish-Spanish?
