Salamanca

I went to Salamanca in mid-November for 3 nights with Jennis and Kara. We met up with my friend from UGA, Jane, and her roommate Rosie, who are both doing the program in Cadiz. Unfortunately, it's been over 2 months since this trip, so I'll spare you the misremembered details, but it was perhaps my favorite trip I've taken thus far. We stayed in an adorable hostel, and the town is beautiful. Plus everyone kept telling us that we would be freezing the entire time, and it really wasn't any colder than Logrono already was.

Inside the cathedral

You are supposed to find a skull with a frog sitting on top in all this relief work. Then you will either make A's on your exams or getting married in a year. I found it after about 15 minutes; everyone else found it in about 5.

The famous Plaza Mayor is supposed to be one of the most beautiful in all of Spain and perhaps Europe as well.

We ate lunch on Saturday at what I believe was a former monastery. It was wonderful; we took about 2 and half hours and were the only non-Spanish people there.

Also on Saturday, we went to the roof of the cathedral.

Inside the cathedral from the top. I'm more afraid of heights than I really remember.

Our hostel. You can't tell how cute it is.

Absurdly adorable twin boys that Jennis and I stalked in the Plaza Mayor on Sunday morning.
